Household Refuse Collection

Christmas/New Year Arrangements

Householders in St. Peter Port are reminded that there will be NO COLLECTIONS of refuse placed out on the evenings of Tuesday 24th, Wednesday 25th and Tuesday 31st December 2013.

Districts affected will be missed entirely until the next usual collection night.

Please help us by NOT putting refuse out on any of these nights.

to enable building alterations to take place at Lefebvre Street.

Election of Parochial Officals

The Constables and Douzaine of ST PETER PORT hereby give notice that the election of the under-mentioned parochial officials will take place on Wednesday 6th November 2013 at a meeting at Beau Sejour Leisure Centre – Cambridge Room at the conclusion of the meeting convened by the Rector and Churchwardens which commences at 7.30pm.

The meetings are convened pursuant to Article 55 of The Reform (Guernsey) Law, 1948, as amended, the Public Assistance (Amendment) Law 2006 and the Education (Schools Committees) Ordinance, 1970.

The terms of office of all retiring officers will expire on the 31st December 2013.

All (unless indicated otherwise) are eligible for re-election. Those marked with * do not seek re-election.

BY THE ELECTORS ONLY TO ELECT

A CONSTABLE to replace Mr D H Le Moignan

SIX DOUZENIERS to replace Mrs C E Goodlass, Mr P A Harwood*, Mr K R Pike, Mr R C Le Cras* & Mrs N K Knight* whose terms of office will expire on 31st December 2013 but who are eligible for re-election and to complete the term of office of Mr K A Fisher ie until 31st December 2015.

A PROCUREUR OF THE POOR to replace Mr. Richard Henry Heywood Barneby whose term of office will expire on 31st December 2013, but who is eligible for re-election.

Nomination forms for the purpose are available from the Constables’ Office. Completed forms must be returned thereto no later than 4.00 p.m. on Monday 28th October 2013.


BY THE ELECTORS AND RATEPAYERS

To appoint two parishioners to audit the accounts of the Procureur of the Poor for the Year 2014.

To appoint auditors for the Constables’ accounts for the year 2014.

To fix the time at which Parish Meetings shall be held during 2014.

Please also note that elections may be deferred to a later date if not less than seven electors present demand a secret ballot. The Returning Officer will declare the date of the secret ballot at the close of the meeting and the place and time will be announced in the Gazette Officielle.

The Constables invite those attending to stay on for refreshment when there will be the opportunity to meet with the Douzaine.
