By virtue of a decision taken at a meeting of Electors of St Peter Port held on Wednesday 1st November 2017 notice is hereby given that polling for the above will take place on

Wednesday 15th November 2017 from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm at Reception, Beau Sejour Leisure Centre & The Constables’ Office, Lefebvre Street

All persons whose names are inscribed on the current Electoral Roll for the Electoral Districts of St Peter Port are entitled to vote.

Election of Parochial Officials

The Constables and Douzaine of St Peter Port hereby give notice that the election of the under-mentioned parochial officials will take place on Wednesday 1st November 2017 at Beau Sejour, Cambridge Room at the conclusion of the meeting convened by the Churchwardens which commences at 7.30pm. The meetings are convened pursuant to Article 55 of The Reform (Guernsey) Law, 1948, as amended, the Public Assistance (Amendment) Law 2006 and the Education (Schools Committees) Ordinance, 1970.

The terms of office of all retiring officers will expire on the 31st December 2017. All (unless indicated otherwise) are eligible for re-election. Those marked with * do not seek re-election.

Nominations are invited.

Nomination forms for the purpose are available in the respective parishes. Completed forms must be returned thereto no later than 4.00 p.m. on Monday 23rd October 2017.

2017 Remede

The Churchwardens of the Parish of St. Peter Port invite the Electors and Ratepayers thereof to meet at Les Cotils Christian Centre (Harry Bound Room), Les Cotils on Wednesday 12th April 2017 at 7.30pm for the following business:

1) To pass the Tresor Account for 2016 before the Dean of Guernsey or his delegate.

2) To hear the Rector nominate his churchwarden

3) To decide whether they are in favour of voting the sum of £45,138.00 pounds to be levied by means of Owners Rate to meet the following expenses:

Constables Account

4) To discuss the merits of changing to one black sack collection per week instead of two, when the Waste Strategy is implemented.

5) To elect a Douzenier to complete the term of office until 31.12.18 of Mr J H Sarre.

The accounts of the Constables and Churchwardens are available for inspection at the Constables’ Office during office hours up to and including the 12th April 2017.
